Every business needs (V)alue (A)dded (R)eseller's in one format or another, it could be MLM,Direct selling, software companies and even logistics suppliers, the art is too work out a sustainable formulae for your product so the VAR networks survive and make profit!

We have just developed a Airfreight brokerage system for a national logistics company here in SA (to be launched in the UK early 2009) , they buy cargo floor space from all the major airlines and sell it to wholesale and retail freight and courier companies, the system works out points linked too "cash back" based on useage to the companies involved, it also works vica versa i.e you have to use the "blocks" of floor space allocated or points are taken off!

Think about how this concept / methodology could work to increase the sales of your products!
